Brooklyn, Jersey or even Little Italy doesn’t have anything on this. Hands down the best pizza any of us have ever had. Now granted we were all a little hungry, but the picture does not do the pies justices. All the ingredients were very fresh, the crust was perfect thickness, and the sauce a rich and flavorful sweet tomato paste. Anna had some barrel wine – Pucchiano – from Italy, which we tried to buy a bottle of. Unfortunately, the wine was not available by the bottle. I had a crisp, cold, and refreshing glass of Imperial. I almost forgot. The kids had a healthy and refreshing glass of homemade tap water. Olivia ended the meal with a vanilla ice cream and I had a rich coffee with leche (milk).
We left Anch’io at around 7pm and journeyed back to Arenal. We arrived back at the lodge around 7:30 and we out like a light before 9.
