Day 6 – After Lunch at Montezuma

Bellies full, we ventured out to see what Montezuma had to offer. Quaint little town with virtually the only sign of civilization within a 15km circle. It has a small Super, ATM, handful of restaurants, bars and shops. The town is mainly known for its surfing.
In the heart of the town we stumbled upon a small market. Half the market was taken by a local farmer selling his organic produce. We purchased some tomatoes, corn and lettuce. A few feet away, a gentleman was selling some smoked salmon and tuna he had prepared the day prior. Some of the fish was vacuum packed, while some of the other was simply bagged. We bought 200g of smoked tuna for $6. It was the size and thickness or a cream cheese block.  The remainder of the market was filled with local artisans. Almost all the artisans sold some sort of jewelry. One lady’s handmade jewelry was unbelievable. I wish I could have (would have) taken a picture.
Across the market was a small basketball court. It was odd that it happen to be located where it was.
We browsed through a couple more of the local stores  before heading off to Mal Pais.
